Happy New Year!!

We brought in the New Year at the Galloway's House! It was so much fun to be with friends. We played Rock Band, Wii, jumped in a Bounce House and watched fireworks. Every little child stayed awake until midnight! Too much fun to be had!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, the kids and I (Jeff was on shift) gathered with the vonHack and Galloway families. We enjoyed a great meal, gift exchange and the kids reinacted the Nativity. It was a great evening!

While Camden read his part, Elisa joined in. She was "reading" her part as the Star. She really is a Star!

Keriann is an Angel, no really, she was! Clay is seen in front as Joseph with Mary (Savannah). The Star, Elisa, is still shining in this scene!

This is actually Christmas morning. Keriann opening the gift from her protective brother!

Holiday Recital

Twice a year, Clay and Keriann perform in a recital. This holiday recital, their instructor Ms. Christina, wanted to give me a special birthday present...something I've never seen in 7 years of recitals. My children performing a duet!! I loved it!! It was a gift I thoroughly enjoyed!! They performed "The First Noel". I wish I could have put the entire video on the blog, because they performed flawlessly. Before the duet, Keriann performed a solo..."Christmastime is Here". She did a beautiful job!

Avalon Aglow

The Avalon community closes its streets to celebrate the Christmas season every year. They have tons of booths with vendors, food and services. They have two stages where schools, dance companies, acting groups, etc. perform. They have tons of shows to watch and games for kids to play. They had "snow" and "sledding". I was lucky enough to have Kristen, Gabi and Kai visiting from Utah at that time! They met up with me and the kids and Andrea. Keriann and Sara were IN the cool parade with the Timber Creek Regiment!!

Gabi coming down the slide.

Gabi and Kai leaving the train station!

Here comes your "Timber Creek RRRegimeennntttt"

Okay, so the video isn't that great....I admit. But, I was holding a child AND

trying to find Keriann and Sara so the little kids could see them too!

Camden is 7!

We celebrated Camden's 7th birthday at Disney's Winter Summerland Mini Golf. It's a super cute mini golf course with two 9-hole courses. One course is snow themed and the other is sand themed. We had two groups of kids on each course! Aside from a few sprinkles, the kids had a great time!

The entire group of friends!
My little sister, Ashley with her cute group!

Clay with his group. They conquered the sandy side.

Camden got several hole in one's that day! I captured one on video!
Being 7 must give you Tiger powers!

Camden's Thanksgiving Feast

On the Thursday before Thanksgiving break, our school cafeteria prepares a delicious feast! Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes w/gravy, cranberry sauce, yummy veggies and dessert! So, our little pilgrims and Native Americans couldn't wait for their feast....well, some of them couldn't wait and others were looking for the alternative lunch....aka, Camden...who ate a chef's salad with a side of uh, salad.

Did Pilgrim boys even eat salad?
One little, two little, three little...native americans

"Hmmm, do I want a feast or salad?"

They were able to eat their feast in the classroom. Their were lots
of moms and dads visiting.

I was happy to be one of them!

Ft. Christmas Field Trip

I was able to go on a field trip with Camden, to Ft. Christmas park. It's a beautiful park located in Christmas, FL...about 10 minutes from our house. Ft. Christmas is a Historical Park and Museum with a full size replica of Fort Christmas, built in 1837. The park also houses seven "Cracker" style houses. These houses are restored historical homes once lived in by local pioneer families. The purpose of the field trip is to teach the children how these pioneer families lived and worked together back in the 1800's. It is also where we had our last family reunion.

Welcome to Fort Christmas

Here is Camden's class outside of one of the museums inside the Fort.

Listening to our guide explain how the pioneer children churned their own butter.

Camden taking a churn, er, turn.

Inside one of the beautiful homes.

"Who wants to live like a pioneer?"

You must be willing to do LOTS of chores. Like going outside
to pump water for washing your clothes and bathing.
Did pioneer children bathe?

Football and Color Guard

Since my mom won't update the blog, I guess I will. Me (Clay) and Keriann are both active in extracurricular activities at school. I am on the JV football team, and on Varsity when my coach feels bad for me. Keriann experimented with band, and is now on the color guard, the twirly flag thing for those who are not familiar with band talk such as myself. I am going to catch everyone up on the action with some videos and highlights that didn't make the cut on WFTV's High School Football show. For those from church who won't be able to see my games, since they are on Wednesday activity nights, grab some popcorn and #1 foam finger and enjoy the 17 seconds of pure gridiron action courtesy of my moms shaky hands. FYI, I'm number 64.

Boone was a very hard game, but we won 7-2

Keriann has worked hard to perform at halftime on Friday nights, she's near the left corner.

Camden can't resist having some fun

FANS, AWESOME!!!!

My mom and dad are always at my game, and I'm sure you could hear them too. It is always a joy to me to find friends and family taking time from their night to come and watch my games. Thank you to all who come!!! Here are some of the crowd:

Grandma and Grandpa up way past their bed time

Carver always knew where I was, Thanks for the support man!

Kennedy was able to catch a little football from the cheerleaders
Aunt Niecy got to perform with all of the other parents, taking us (Keriann) band geeks' spot in our premiere show after a 12-hour practice.
